Film Screening: Siberia in the Bones
The Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation will host "Siberia in the Bones" on Tuesday March 26th, 2024 at the Victims of Communism Museum.
"Siberia in the Bones" is dedicated to the Moldovans deported to Siberia under the Stalinist regime and was made to commemorate 70 years since the deportations in Moldova (formerly known as Bessarabia).
This docudrama is structured around the stories of four children who were forcibly exiled to Siberia during the second wave of deportations, on the night of July 6 to 7, 1949.
The event will begin at 5:00 PM with light refreshments and opening remarks. The film screening will begin at 5:45 PM.
