Victim Support Isle of Man 25th Anniversary & Domestic Abuse Awareness Conference

Victim Support Isle of Man in conjunction with the Domestic Abuse Forum and with support from the Douglas Rotary Club is pleased to host a Two Day Conference to celebrate turning 25 years old during 2024 and to raise awareness of the serious issue of Domestic Abuse.

Day One is the Domestic Abuse Awareness Day.

We are delighted to have as key note speakers, Natalie Collins, https://www.nataliecollins.info/mywork, who developed the "Own My Life" programme, and David Challen, https://www.davidchallen.com/, who's mother's conviction for murdering his father after years of domestic abuse was overturned in 2019.

Day Two - Victim Support Isle of Man's 25th Anniversary Day

David Challen will be joining us again as key note speaker to tell his own story.  He will be joined by past clients of Victim Support Isle of Man who will provide their own stories and how Victim Support Isle of Man have helped them.

The day will reflect on the past 25 years, as well as what the service currently does and what it hopes to achieve in the future with the launch of our 5 year strategy and new look for the organisation.

This two-day event is aimed at professionals working in agencies we work in collaboration with, alongside representatives of corporate and other organisations to highlight the work of Victim Support Isle of Man as well as the multi-agency Domestic Abuse Forum.

Lunch will be provided on the day and once you have signed up we will be in contact you for any dietary requirements, provide you with the timetable for the days of the conference and any other useful information you will need for the conference.  

You can sign up for either day or both. Due to the limited number of tickets available, please only register for tickets if you can attend and if you are unable to attend, please let us know so that we can reach out to people on the waiting list and offer the places to them.
