Vienna Pipes and Drums 2025 Ceilidh
The much-loved Vienna St Andrews Night Ceilidh is at a new venue in 2025!
Vienna Pipes and Drums will once again be hosting "probably the best night of the year" for the city's fans of Scottish music and dance. This year the "Late St. Andrews Night Ceilidh" returns for the 39th time with a new location in Vienna's 19th district, but with the same winning format.
Gather your friends and join us for a fabulous evening of live music and traditional dancing with our Scottish ceilidh band. No experience is needed, as all of the dances will be explained on the dance floor. There will be a cash bar with beer and wine, a fine range of Scotch whiskys, and snacks available to buy. Dress comfortably, kilts and highland dress are encouraged.
Colin Campbell, bagpiper, band member, and former Vienna International School (VIS) teacher and rugby coach, started the VIS Scottish Ceilidh back in 1985 as fund raising event for youth rugby in Vienna. The Vienna Pipes and Drums were proud performers at many of the school events. We are continuing the rugby connection, as this year's event will be run with Vienna Celtic Rugby Club and all proceeds will go to support Vienna Celtic youth rugby activities as well as the Vienna Pipes and Drums pipe band.
The 2025 Ceilidh will be held in the VZ Döbling, easily accessible via public transport. Tickets will also be available on the door, at the higher price of EUR 35.
