2026 UKPRP VISION Consortium Annual Conference
Violence prevention in dialogue: Research and policy
Join us on Tuesday 7 July 2026, 10:00 – 16:30, at the Lighthouse Auditorium in Friends House for the final UKPRP VISION annual conference!
Following five years of research into violence prevention focussing on improving measurement, policy, and practice, and delivering through a strong cross-sector partnership spanning the third sector, academia, and central and local government, we are now showcasing this work with our stakeholders. In addition, we have also invited those working in violence prevention landscape to critically assess VISION’s contributions and identify where further research is needed.
This event is open to those working in violence prevention across academia; the community and voluntary sector; central and local government; health, justice and welfare services; and other relevant areas.
What's on offer?
Two exciting keynote sessions. . .
- Keynote 1: Professor Gene Feder, Director of VISION, and Jo Todd, CEO of Respect, will discuss working across silos in violence prevention and the challenges and opportunities.
- Keynote 2: Professor Kate Fitz Gibbon from Monash University (Australia), will present the National plan to end violence against women and children, a 10-year national framework, in Australia and the evaluation efforts to measure its success. She will also compare and contrast Australia’s plan to the UK’s cross-government strategy to end violence to women and girls.
. . . .and three symposia highlighting some of our violence prevention research
- Insight and Inclusion will provide key findings through discussions with stakeholders and practitioners who are closely engaged in the work and able to offer critical perspectives. These sessions will explore the significance of the research, identify areas where further work is needed, and invite reflections from those working on the front lines of violence prevention.
- The final symposium, Involve, will showcase dynamic, ongoing VISION research in collaboration with key stakeholders, with initiatives set to continue beyond the life of the consortium—looking ahead to what the future may hold.
The conference is free to attend with a catered lunch and an afternoon tea. Registration is required.
