Description
Saturday 27th September 10am – 1pm at Hands on Retreat, Devon
Join Virginia for this half day of Ayurvedic exploration, focusing on Vata dosha
Ayurveda uses a system of ‘doshas’ or constitutional types. The most common imbalance is the Vata dosha.
Vata tends to be ungrounded when imbalanced and shows up as anxiety, insomnia, IBS, dryness and other physical and emotional issues.
Learn more about Vata and how we can use Ayurveda to rebalance ourselves and prevent disease.
WHAT TO EXPECT
This morning offering will focus on Vata dosha. Vata is a combination of air and ether elements and is described a dry, light, quick and full of movement. As with anything we need balance, when there is an excess of this energy in the body it can cause issues such as anxiety, insomnia, bloating, IBS, constipation, nervous system conditions (such as Parkinson’s or Alzheimers) and much more. It is said that Vata imbalance is the trigger for 70% of disease.
This session will include a mixture of theory as well as some yoga movement.
You will be encouraged to create a personalised plan for yourself to take away.
