Loch and Land Festival Speaker Spotlight: Jo Page
Hiking boots and hope: A beginner’s guide to walking the UK.
Big adventures aren’t just for the experts!
Ever wondered what it really takes to walk the length of Britain when you're not an elite athlete, or backed by a big support crew? Join Jo as she shares her honest, down-to-earth story of walking 1100 miles solo from Land’s End to John o’ Groats.
A personal challenge driven by curiosity, courage, and a backpack full of snacks. Jo set out as a complete novice and came back with lessons, stories, and a deeper understanding of what it means to do something bold without having it all figured out.
Expect a real, relatable insight into the planning, the doubts, the kindness of strangers, the unexpected moments of magic, and the determination it takes to keep going when your feet (and spirit) are sore.
Whether you're dreaming of your own adventure or just love hearing about the road less travelled, come along for a night of honest reflection, humour, and inspiration, and leave reminded that you’re more capable than you think.
All proceeds from Jo's talk will be donated to Kintail Mountain Rescue.
Coffee, cake and drinks (Including Dog Falls Brewery beer!) available to buy at the venue (Tiso Upstairs Cafe, Inverness)
