HOLY ISLAND x BAMBURGH CASTLE

This Day Tour is one of the more extraordinary ones on our calendar. In the year 635AD, Saint Aidan was dispatched from Iona, by King Oswald, to Lindisfarne (Holy Island) with a mission to spread Christianity. When he got there, he built a monastery and several years later, a castle. The Holy Island of Lindisfarne is a tidal island, meaning we will be crossing the causeway only when the tide is low (think Moses parting the Red Sea from the Bible). The whole experience as well as the simply breathtaking sights will blow you away.

The second stop will be the beautiful village of Bamburgh and a visit to another incredible fortress, Bamburgh Castle.
