Volunteer Co-ordinators Meeting: The Social Value of Volunteering

  Today's session on The Social Value of Volunteering will look at the added value that volunteers are giving across the sector and contributing to the UK economy.

This will include:

• Looking at the contribution of volunteers and how this is adding value to our services in the charity sector locally.

• Talking about different ways of measuring this impact, and we will give the opportunity to trial a simple but effective way of recording this which has been developed by the University of Chichester.

• Looking at how demonstrating this additional value from volunteers will be beneficial when applying to funders.
  

Chris from Arun Community Transport will be talking about the value/worth of their volunteers.

We will also have a discussion about how you record your volunteers’ impact and record the value of their time in your organisation.

This will finish with a time for networking afterwards.

Final details will be sent out a week before including a map and parking instructions etc.

Booking is through Ticket Tailor. We generally offer 1 place per organisation and priority will be given to our registered members and partners. For non members and anyone outside the area, if you register for the event/training your booking will be transferred to the waiting list and we will inform you nearer the time if there are spaces available (please note there may be a charge for non member/out of area tickets).
If you are unable to attend the meeting, please de-register on Ticket Tailor or let us know via email. Our events are normally fully booked so if you let us know you are no longer able to make it we can open your space up to another organisation, who may not otherwise be able to attend.
