Volunteer Managers’ Forum
Join us for the first in-person Volunteer Managers’ Forum of the year on 24 June, 10am–1pm at Voluntary Action Islington.
This forum offers a welcoming, collaborative space for volunteer managers across Islington to connect, share experiences, and learn from one another. Whether you’re looking for fresh ideas, practical solutions, or peer support, this session is designed for you.
The morning will be split into three parts:
- Guest Session: Disability & Neurodivergency Inclusion in Volunteering
Delivered by AFK’s EDI Development Manager Daniel Wiles and Co-Facilitator Parag Vajir, this interactive 45-minute session will explore how to create more inclusive volunteering opportunities. Through insights, lived experience, and practical guidance, you’ll gain actionable ideas to support inclusion in your organisation.
- Forum Discussion & Networking
The topics will be varied, can be anything related to managing volunteers – and will be decided by you on the day. Think about some real life examples in your organisation and bring them with you so we all can help you identify what to do next. Look at some of the underlying causes of difficulties and consider strategies to prevent them. You will also meet other volunteer managers.
- Lunch and Networking
This session is ideal for anyone working with volunteers in Islington. Places are limited, so book early to avoid missing out.
If you have topics or questions you’d like to discuss at the Forum, feel free to share them when registering or bring them along on the day.
We’re committed to making this session inclusive, so please let us know if you require any adjustments.
