Voluntary Action Islington AGM & Islington Volunteer of the Year Awards 2026

We warmly invite you to our annual Islington Volunteer of the Year Awards and AGM, as we proudly present an evening celebrating the past year and looking ahead to the next.

Date: Wednesday 4^th November 2026

Location: Great Hall - The Rocket, London Metropolitan University, 166-220 Holloway Road, London N7 8DB (This will be an in-person event)

We will be holding both our Annual General Meeting and the much anticipated Islington Volunteer of the Year Awards at this event, celebrating the hard work and numerous accomplishments of volunteers from across Islington’s Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) sector. 

The Mayor of Islington, Cllr Rosaline Ogunro, will be in attendance to present the awards, including certificates and prizes. Prizes will be awarded across the following categories: Young Volunteer (16-25 y/o), Volunteer (26-60), Older Volunteer (60+), Volunteering Team, and Pat Haynes Memorial Trustee of the Year. These prizes are provided by DoubleTree by Hilton Angel Kings Cross, the sponsor of the awards.

All nominated volunteers will receive a certificate at the end of the event.
