Maximising the Impact of Volunteering

How to build a more strategic, inclusive and flexible volunteer programme

Volunteering can support far more than service delivery. With the right strategy, volunteer journey and opportunities in place, it can strengthen your organisation, extend your reach and create lasting relationships with the people who support your cause.

Join Jess Scott, Head of Volunteering at Bowel Cancer UK, for a practical Lunch & Learn exploring how to maximise the impact of volunteering across your organisation.

During the session, Jess will cover:

  • Why every organisation needs a clear volunteering strategy, and how to align it with wider aims and measure its impact
  • How designing different volunteer journeys for different roles can improve recruitment, retention and the overall volunteer experience
  • How flexible opportunities can remove barriers, engage a more diverse range of people and help volunteers become powerful advocates for your organisation

You’ll leave with practical ideas to help you focus on quality over quantity, tailor onboarding and support, and build a volunteer programme that contributes across every area of your charity.
