„HOOKED“ – The Vorn Metaverse Showcase Exhibition

Hooked into a downward spiral, you will be experiencing different levels of reality over and over again. Is it possible to find a way out of the dysfunctional system and it’s consequences – overproduction, consumerism, greenwashing, pollution, and even your own frustration?  What if you just let yourself go, just for a moment, and find cure in sensations of pleasure?“

Immerse yourself in the future of fashion and experience a separate reality. Start in the here and now by exploring the physical capsule collection of three individual looks that each resemble a different state of mind: Dysfunctional, Escape and Pleasure. Change perspective and dive into the „HOOKED“ Metaverse Spatial, using VR glasses. Examine your position from a different angle and into a gamified experience as an avatar and explore the exhibtion and capsule collection digitally.

The immersive showcase exhibition is the result of the VORN Academy Program pilot that ran from October 17th to December 9th 2022. The pilot gathered 9 designers, tasking them to create a phygital and circular capsule collection by involving digital tools, circular strategies, and testing possibilities of virtual environment. Both the capsule collection and the showcase exhibition mirror the multidisciplinary backgrounds of the creative talents in art, craftsmanship, digital fashion design, upcycling, digital product design, creative direction and film. The VORN Academy Program was generously supported by Zalando, Unity and Kornit Digital. VORN – The Berlin Fashion Hub is commissioned by the Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises.
