We have been dreaming of the time we could take full advantage of the suspension structure posts in the studio and, THAT DAY HAS ARRIVED. Two days even! VoxBody is thrilled to present a 2-day hashira workshop with KissMeDeadlyDoll & CuteButDeadly (New York).
*** PLEASE READ THE PRE-REQUISITES BEFORE REGISTERING. SOLID SUSPENSION EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED FOR BOTH DAYS; DAY TWO WILL BE ADVANCED (AND INTENSE!) ***
* Tickets are available for each day; join us for one or both days!
* Save the date 3/15 for a performance event with KissMeDeadlyDoll & CuteButDeadly! Details and tickets coming soon.
Day 1- Ground & Partial Play — (Advanced Beginner - Intermediate SUSPENSION levels)
The focus for day one will be on creating a scene using the Hashira post for pervy ground & partial suspension play.
This day will be very flexible for students choosing the type of harnesses they’d like to play with. For some exercises we will be asking for harnesses with stems in back to utilize learning wrapping/restriction techniques we love to use when tying to a post. We will also be thinking about shapes/body manipulation that allows us exposure access to our tying partners, & exploring some aspects of creating predicaments.
Day 1 will also include:
- Discussion of how to approach setting up attachment points on the posts.
- Demo- of all concepts above + discussion of variations for making things more sustainable or making things harder.
- Play time! — I always encourage students to have fun as well, add your own ideas, fuck around and find out (within your skill level of course).
Pre-Requisites: Students (both those tying and being tied) should have prior suspension experience, as well as prior suspension experience tying TOGETHER. We will be using suspension lines to create tension & restriction, we will also be playing with partials.
KissMedeadlyDoll's approach to tying hashira includes RESTRICTION. Please come to this workshop with experience in, and a desire for, restriction in rope.
Required Equipment/Supplies:
‣ Full kit of rope (12 hanks) & then some; students will be tying their own points onto the posts so bring extra ropes for this or webbing slings. Carabiners will also be helpful if you don’t want to have rope on rope suspension points! Half-lengths & shorties are also super helpful for some of the things we will be doing.
‣ 1-2 pieces of small bamboo (can be utilized for some fun extra restriction). Please note! VoxBody has a limited supply of loaner small bamboo pieces...if you need to borrow, be sure to email us ahead of time at voxbody@gmail.com. We do not have enough pieces for every attending pair.
‣ Additional items for play!— thin rope or craft type twine for micro bondage, up to 3 cloths (tenugui) for gag/face covering play, nose hooks, pokey things, rubber bands, clothes pins/clamps, leather hoods or gags, cattle prods, impact toys... basically anything you love to play with! Bring it and let’s create some fun scenes!
Day 2- Transitional Hashira — (Advanced Suspension level)
Focus for day two will be on the slow building of restriction through wrapping. KMDD's approach to tying Hashira is really about creating a “heavy bondage” feeling, the body becomes one with the post and the bottom marinates while receiving more & more layers. This also creates a large amount of compressive breath-play, and takes TIME. Meaning: we will discuss the possibility of bottoms passing out, making a plan if that should happen, and keeping in mind that more layers means more time to get out of something (for both the top & bottom).
We will be working on 2 different sequences for hashira that involve transitions with a break between the sequences.
Day 2 will also include:
- Discussion of how to approach setting up attachment points on the posts.
- Approaching transitions on the post, starting in uprights and transitioning to inversions, finding fun shapes in the middle spaces.
Riggers should be confident in handling multiple suspension lines through transitions.
Quick rope handling skills are also a must!
Ties we will be using- TK, Tengu, Futomomos, Half-Booty Basket, “naka panties,” single columns. While you are welcome to use other ties instead of what I will be teaching, please be aware that some shapes/feelings will not be translatable to other ties, such as arms front ties, since the shape of the body is much more closed/rounded forward in these ties.
We will be using a Boxtie/TK in this class; students should be confident in their TK-tying skills, bottoms should also have prior experience being tied & communicating while in TK.

About the presenters:
Kissmedeadlydoll (she/her) is a NYC based rope bondage enthusiast and avid self-suspender. After discovering her obsession with rope in 2013, she quickly began recreating and practicing self-ties, which led her down the “dark path” to switchdom, and of course… topping! Fast forward through many years of both learning & presenting in the US, Europe, & Asia; she is now primarily focused on tying in her own blend of the many styles she’s learned, with a heavy dose of shape making informed by mobility practices & body awareness from her self-suspension experience, & of course some playfully perverted sadism… cause let’s be honest, bondage is fucking hot when some suffering is involved. She also practices tying professionally, offering rope experiences, pro-domme rope focused sessions, & lessons out of her NYC studio.
When she’s not tying people up, Doll is also a published photographer & videographer focused on storytelling to bring your dreamiest kink fantasies to life. You can find more information about her content creation offerings on her website and also her twitter if you like it spicy *wink wink*.

Bethany (she/her), AKA cutebutdeadly, started exploring rope bondage by attending a beginners class in 2022. Following that class, she instantly became obsessed and practiced self-tying nearly every day (seriously, like every day lol). Her passion for rope led her to dive into bottoming and continue her education with lessons and workshops. As her experience in self-tying and bottoming has evolved, she’s become the budding switch she is today.
As her moniker suggests and despite her smiley demeanor, she’s inspired by the sadistic parts of rope bondage and playfully incorporates them into her practice. She approaches rope with a curiosity and continued desire to learn and enjoys the challenges it can bring mentally and physically.
Beyond rope, you can catch her out and about in NY’s broader queer kink community, and for a peek into her ropey life, follow her on Instagram @notnotbethany.
