301 Rope with Lief & Icky: Next Steps for Not-So Beginners

You’ve taken 101, maybe 201, and now you're looking for the next step in your rope journey! Join Lief & Icky for 301 Rope: Next Steps for Not-So Beginners on November 11!

Lief and Icky’s patternless approach to beginner rope takes new shape in 301 with the introduction of foundational patterns and techniques. While maintaining a focus on cultivating play and connection, we will learn how to incorporate single and double column ties, hojo cuffs, body mechanics, and harness fundamentals.

*** THIS CLASS IS PART OF A PROGRESSIVE SERIES, including '101-Rope' on September 16 and '201-Rope' on October 28. Tickets are for tying pairs and are available for each individual class (ie: no series-packages); you can attend one, two or all three in the series. Please be sure you meet the prerequisites of 201 and 301 Rope if you will be attending those without 101. ***

Prerequisites: 

- Attendees should have some foundational rope experience, including tying and being tied in single column ties. 

- Understanding of consent and general risks associated with rope bondage. 

Materials needed: 4 hanks for rope. Instructors will be using jute. Loaner rope is available for class if needed.

About the presenters:

Lief Bound (He/They) and Icky (He/They) are queer and trans rope educators and performance artists currently residing in San Francisco, California. Lief Bound is a rope switch who found their love of rope ten years ago and believes that rope can be the most honest way that we can connect with each other. Icky is a switchy pain enthusiast who started their rope bottoming exploration ten years ago and is most passionate about exploring intersectionality and positionality in consent. Their teaching styles bring the best of both worlds combining crucial perspectives of the top and the bottom. They value consent and safety in every topic they teach, bringing an inclusive and trauma-informed approach to learning rope bondage. Lief and Icky are most passionate about using multimedia process art to share their vision with the world and push the boundaries of what defines rope.
