An Evening of English Wine with Vyn Dene, at Patch

Fri 6 Nov 2026 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM Patch, Old Library Building, Queen Victoria Road, High Wycombe, HP11 1BG

An early-evening tasting in the old library on Queen Victoria Road, now home to Patch.

We'll hand you a full glass of Bubbling Blanc, our Col Fondo sparkling wine, as you arrive. Then we sit down to six more wines, poured as tasting measures, and talk through where each one comes from.

Vyn Dene is a small wine business run by Phil and Emma Walker from Great Missenden. We don't have a grand estate. Instead we seek out growers whose fruit we like, and work with Tommy Grimshaw at Langham to make it into wine. That takes us across three quite different landscapes - the chalk of the Chilterns, the sandstone of the High Weald in Sussex and the clays of Essex's Crouch Valley - and the evening follows the same route.

On the table: Bubbling Blanc, Blanc, Gris, Rosé and Coral from Vyn Dene, plus two guest wines from One Degree East, a Chardonnay and a Pinot Noir made by Sam Kemp in the Crouch Valley.

Each of the wines comes with a tapas-style food pairing.

Doors open at 5.30pm and the tasting starts at 6pm, finishing around 7.30pm. Seats are limited to 30. Over 18s only.

Tickets are non-refundable, but you're welcome to pass yours on to someone else - just let us know their name.
