An Evening of English Wine with Vyn Dene, at FanFan

A wine tasting evening at FanFan, our local pizzeria on Great Missenden High Street, once the dinner service has wound down.

The evening starts with a glass of Bubbling Blanc, our Col Fondo sparkling wine. Then come six more wines, poured as tasting measures, each with a small plate from FanFan's kitchen chosen to go with it.

Vyn Dene is a small wine business run by Phil and Emma Walker, a few minutes' walk up the road. We seek out growers whose fruit we like and work with Tommy Grimshaw at Langham to make it into wine. The wines come from three quite different landscapes - the chalk of the Chilterns, the sandstone of the High Weald in Sussex and the clays of Essex's Crouch Valley - and we'll talk through each one as we go.

On the table: Bubbling Blanc, Blanc, Gris, Rosé and Coral from Vyn Dene, plus two guest wines from One Degree East, a Chardonnay and a Pinot Noir made by Sam Kemp in the Crouch Valley.

The evening runs from 7.30pm to 9pm, and FanFan's bar will be open for anything else you'd like to drink. Seats are limited to 30. Over 18s only.

Tickets are non-refundable, but you're welcome to pass yours on to someone else - just let us know their name.
