These measures are important to deter scammers which seem to be rife! The WA Forest Alliance is thrilled to announce this incredibly special, one-off event.
Internationally renowned musician John Butler will be playing an exclusive solo concert, alongside the locally produced, internationally award winning documentary, Cry of the Forests. Find out exactly what’s going on with your local iconic ancient forests, just beyond the road buffers in the southern forests region.
Please join us in Manjimup in the heart of Pibulmun country, for an alcohol free, family friendly concert and documentary screening.
Also Playing: The Nomadics, Chief Monkey, the Nannas choir, Not Just Charlie (Formidable Vegetable) and Lemon Myrtle.
WA’s south-west forests are part of one of the most biodiverse regions on the planet and are recognised for their ability to capture and store carbon.
They are vital to slowing run-away climate change, yet, instead of preserving them, we are cutting them down at an alarming rate for charcoal, firewood and wood chips.
Cry of the Forests takes viewers to the heart of the forests to see first-hand the beauty of these towering ecosystems and the life they support.
We meet the activists armed with GoPro's and dressed in camouflage gear who have risked their lives to bear witness and capture the devastation occurring in our forests. We will also meet traditional custodians, tourist operators & farmers on the frontline of the battle to protect our forests.
Can we save our forests in time for them to save us?
