SW Threatened Forests Tour- Northern Jarrah Forests
Join us on a tour of the Northern Jarrah Forests.
The purpose of this tour is to come together to spend time in precious jarrah forests; to learn about and discuss their ecology, their immense natural and cultural values and the threats that they face. We will talk about ways that we can work together to defend them from threatening processes and bring public attention to the issues.
On this special Northern Jarrah Forest tour, we will also hear from Cultural Custodian Maitland Hill and local Jarrahdale and Dwellingup folks who are campaigning against Alcoa's proposal to clear an additional 8,900 hectares of the Northern Jarrah forests to expand their bauxite mining operations.
There is an additional/optional day in Collie on Friday 23rd from 10am - 3pm for those who can make it.
At WAFA, we often get asked "what can i do to help?" the answer is: Come Along!

The event goes out to the wider community with an invitation to pay it forward
If we cover the costs plus more, we will put the money into the next tour and other campaigning.
