Wainsgate Chapel is a hilltop arts space in the South Pennines—artist-led, community-rooted, and full of life.

Set in a beautiful former chapel, rich with visible history, the programme spans dance, music, spoken-word, visual art, workshops and gatherings —bringing internationally recognised artists and local voices into the same space. It’s known for its quality, warm welcome, incredible food, and the chance to experience and participate in a really great programme of activities and events.

We’re a registered charity, run by volunteers. Every ticket helps keep this historic building open, active, and in use.
