Join award-winning poet and expert writing tutor Kim Moore for a 90 minute creative writing workshop centred on "The Unspeakable." In this supportive session, you'll explore how to bypass your inner critic, approach complex emotions slantways, and find language for things that defy explanation. Open to all experience levels, you will leave with raw drafts, fresh metaphors, and unique craft techniques to transform silence into powerful imagery. For everyone aged 16+
Kim’s most recent publication is the spellbinding The House of Broken Things (Corsair), launched in 2026 at Wainsgate. Her second collection All the Men I Never Married (Seren, 2021) won the 2022 Forward Prize for Best Collection and The Art of Falling (Seren 2015) won the Geoffrey Faber Memorial Prize. She also writes non-fiction, publishing What the Trumpet Taught Me (Smith/Doorstop, 2022) and Are You Judging Me Yet? Poetry and Everyday Sexism (Seren, 2023). She is a Senior Lecturer and Deputy Programme Leader of the MA and MFA in Creative Writing, at Manchester Metropolitan University.
