There are no laws in dreams or drawing,
So let's go exploring...

Every month around the full moon, we will meet online to bring utterances from the unconscious onto paper. Through a series of drawing prompts we will recreate the shapes, forms, colours, layers, patterns and stories from dreams old and new through the filter of our conscious selves.

Having undergone Jungian psychoanalysis for over three years analysing my dreams, as well as meeting regularly with a group of friends where we read our dreams from a shared spreadsheet, I have a passion for these curious expressions that occur during sleep. Far from thinking other people's dreams are boring, I am fascinated by both the variable and universal voices of psyche - I feel they are our most intimate and generous encounters with the mystery of all that is.

In my psychoanalysis and creative practice, I have often made drawings from my dreams. It feels like completing a gift to myself. Both conscious and unconscious me having a dialogue. Join me to find out how you do it.

You will be required to bring with you to the workshop a dream that you've had in mind, it can be old or new. If you don't already keep a dream diary, then I recommend it. Have a pen and paper by your bed, or record your groggy voice into your phone. Although, I tend to write mine up after I've had a coffee - the ones I remember that is, so many slip through the net and that is completely normal. No amount of a dream recording habit changes that, so don't feel bad if you keep forgetting them. Even if you bring a couple of vague impressions, that is ok - there is probably more to them than you think...

Sessions are £9, and will generally be of the same format each month, consisting of a guided drawing meditation and 1 or 2 extra prompts, allowing time to chat, reflect and share. Timings will run from approximately from 7 - 8:30pm (UK time)

Zoom links will be sent out prior to the session. I hope to see you there! In the meantime, sweet dreams...
