Teddy Bears Picnic (WRBC Family Fun Day)

Join us at Wymondley Wood Scout and Guide Centre for a Teddy Bears' Picnic!

We'll have lots of fun and games and share our picnic together. This is a family event, so please come as a group - we can't accept unaccompanied children for this event.

Please bring with you:

• Something to sit on (such as a camp chair or picnic rug)
• Your group's picnic (you'll be able to refill water bottles there)
• Appropriate weather gear depending on the forecast - we hope to need sun cream more than rain coats!
• Your teddy bear - but please name them and keep them safely with you so they don't get lost or muddy

Arriving and parking

If you head from Wymondley towards Willian on Willian Road/Wymondley Road, the site is on the left hand side and is signposted. The What3Words location for the turning off the main road is ///useful.tells.traded.

You then need to follow the track around the field and up the hill, entering the gate to the Scout and Guide Centre. The What3Words for the site itself is ///escape.palace.listed. It's a farm track and is quite bumpy, so please take it slowly.

Parking is limited at Wymondley Wood, so please consider car-sharing if you can. There may be additional parking at the woods car park down the hill - this closes at sunset, but we will be offsite long before then.

Weather

We're hoping for good weather, but we'll still go ahead in light rain. If heavy rain or worse is forecast and we're forced to change plans, we will let you know.

Older children and young people

Shortly following our family fun day, our youth group (Youth Mix) will be joining us on site for their annual campfire. If your children are in school years 6-13, they are welcome to join us - you can book their places here.

Primary School-aged children

Children in school years R-6 (during the current academic year) are warmly invited to our Holiday Club, Monsters Stink, on 27th-29th July. Book Holiday Club places here.
