Join Wanderers of Colour for our next Book Club which will be an informal shared poetry reading. If you’ve got any poems, pamphlets or books by PoC poets, we’d love for you to bring them and share. Of course there is no pressure to read yourself. If you yourself are a poet, we would also love to hear any poems you've written as well!

We will be meeting at the Wellcome Collection Cafe. 

Whether you want to read a poem or listen to other poems being read, you are welcome to join our meetup.

Accessibility:

There is step-free access throughout the building. If your wheelchair or mobility device is 75 cm or wider, access to certain areas of the building may be limited.

Transport via tube: 
Euston station (National Rail, Overground, Northern line, Victoria line) , Euston Square station (Hammersmith & City line, Circle line) and Warren Street station (Northern line) are all within 5 minutes walk to the Wellcome Collection. Euston station has access from platform to train by boarding ramp. Euston square station is step free for the westbound direction only. Warren Street station unfortunately does not have step free access. 

Transportation via car: 
There is limited parking available for Blue Badge holders. Contact Wellcome Collection's Visitor Experience and Engagement team to book a parking space. (https://wellcomecollection.org/contact-us#access-information)

For paid parking, there is the George Mews car park (N Gower St, London NW1 2NN) nearby which is open for public use. It's an 8 minute walk from the Wellcome Collection. 

Toilets:
There are accessible toilets on all floors of the building.

Who can come?

All Black, Asian, and People of Colour welcome! Any under 18s will need to be accompanied by an adult. We are happy for you to join whether you have completed the book or not!

Nervous about coming alone?

No worries! We understand how daunting it can be coming to an event on your own. Most of our attendees come to our event solo, and you can join our Whatsapp group to connect with others ahead of the event. You can also reach out by email via wanderersofcolour@gmail.com, or Instagram.

Photography

Our team try to take a couple of photographs and videos during events to help promote other events and showcase what we do publicly. Please let the a member of the team know when you arrive if you'd rather not be photographed at all.

How much does this event cost?

• This event is free to attend! If possible, we encourages attendees to purchase food and/or drinks from the venue to support their business.

• We welcome donations to cover the cost of running the Wanderers of Colour community but there is no pressure to do so. Donations help us in covering admin costs, and offering free and subsidised places.
