Wander Wild Scotland have joined forces with Love Her Wild, a not for profit women's adventure community to offer this exclusive wild camping adventure. 

 Join us for a wild camping adventure into the heart of the Cairngorm mountains, traversing through old drover's roads, glacial troughs and mountain passes. This wild camping adventure is ideal if you want to progress your wild camping  and gain confidence to start moving further afield to see where it can take you.  Maybe you're a campsite camper and want to try a different way of camping.  

We'll meet at Glenmore* at 9.15 am for a quick kit check then begin our journey into the mountains.  We will have a leisurely walk, getting used to the weight of the pack on our backs, looking around us, seeing the geology, plant life, history and hopefully some wildlife.   A kit list will be sent to you after booking. I have some spare kit if you need to borrow kit, please let me know if you require kit after you get your booking confirmation.  

Difficulty

• Difficult - should be able to walk for around 7  hours comfortably with a backpack
  • Ideally you will have some hillwalking experience, but don't worry if you don't, we're here to support you every step of the way.
• Terrain -  landrover track, some boggy footpaths, rocky footpaths
• Maximum distance covered each day - 20 km 
• Total ascent - 1350 m over the two days
• Walking time - 6 - 8 hours each day

* Participants are responsible for their travel to and from Glenmore  We encourage car sharing (if you are comfortable to do so) to reduce our carbon footprint as well as reduce pressure on car parks that we use.  Pick ups may be available from Aviemore before 8.50 am.

• Aviemore is easily accessed by train from Glasgow and Edinburgh.  
• Megabus also have a service that runs from both Glasgow and Edinburgh
