Love Her Wild - Ben Lomond

Wander Wild Scotland have joined forces with Love Her Wild, a not for profit women's adventure community to offer this exclusive Munro adventure.

Join us to climb Ben Lomond, Scotland's most southerly Munro

We will meet at Rowardennan car park at 09:00 am, ready to start walking at 09:30 am.  Our ascent will be via the Ptarmigan Ridge.  It's a steep but rewarding climb as you climb high above Loch Lomond and look out over the southern Highlands and back towards the Lowlands.  We'll stop for a well earned break and snacks at the summit.  Our return route will be via the main path back to the car park.

Difficulty

• Moderate - suitable for beginners though you should have a good level of fitness and stamina
• Terrain -  mountain footpaths, steep in places
• Total distance - 12 km
• Total ascent - 990m
• Walking time - 6.5 - 7.5 hours

* Participants are responsible for their travel to and from Rowardennan.   We encourage car sharing (if you are comfortable to do so) and use of public transport (if available) to reduce our carbon footprint as well as reduce pressure on car parks that we use.  The carpark at Rowardennan is paid parking (£5; payable by cash, card or RingGo).

We reserve the right to cancel the event OR change the route if the weather is not suitable e.g. high winds, heavy rain, thunder forecast.
