Welcome to WarCastle 2026!
The realms of man have been safe for too long, and war once again threatens the fragile peace. Dark forces gather in the hidden corners of the Empire.
This is WarCastle - a premium immersive narrative campaign set in Warhammer: The Old World and hosted in a real, actual honest-to-goodness castle. This epic event is a long-weekend saga told by 30 players battling for glory and plunder across a huge interactive campaign map, using the current Warhammer: The Old World ruleset and every legal army list, including Grand Armies, Armies of Infamy and every single Legacy faction. And you’ll do this in the stunning surroundings of Middleton Castle, near Kings Lynn.
Your forces will grow and develop as they crash across a great landscape built with Mighty Empires terrain, using the current Warhammer: The Old World ruleset and a modified version of the legendary sixth edition Warhammer Fantasy Battles campaign ruleset - and all 17 factions are welcome! Your battles will grow over the weekend, from smaller clashes between greenhorn battalions, through full pitched battles between seasoned troops, to a colossal final battle to cap it all off - using exquisite, fully-painted terrain. Throughout this, you’ll earn personal points for generalship and completing hidden agendas, and build up the strength of your alliance in the face of your rivals, all the while telling a shared story of heroism and villainy.
Within two-and-a-half hours’ drive from London and Birmingham, and just one-and-a-half hours from London Stansted, Middleton Castle was built in the 15th century, and has been owned by many of the most aristocratic families in Britain. Now used as a luxury events space, it’s the perfect backdrop for our narrative campaign.
You’ll sleep, eat and battle in the castle, and when the dust settles, we’ll plan incredible social events with your fellow generals.
Space in the castle is strictly limited - only so many people are allowed to enter at one time - so don't delay and purchase your tickets today.

Claiming your place in the halls
We're offering three types of ticket to WarCastle to enable you to choose the one that works best for you. All prices are per person:
The Inner Sanctum (9 available)
Claim the high ground with one of nine luxurious private double bedrooms - ideal for those who prefer to plan their strategies in solitude. This ticket grants you full access to the castle from Friday evening through to Monday morning, its facilities and grounds, as well as all meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner each day) and the Grand Banquet on Saturday night, and full access to our immersive narrative campaign.
The Garrison (12 available)
Billet yourself with a fellow commander in one of 12 well-appointed twin-room quarters. After all, planning strategy is better with an ally. This ticket grants you access to the castle from Friday evening through to Monday morning, full board (breakfast, lunch, and dinner each day, and the Grand Banquet on Saturday night), the run of the castle and grounds, and a slot in our narrative campaign.
Attending WarCastle with a friend? Let us know via the questionnaire that we will send and we’ll ensure you are placed in the same twin room. If you’re attending solo, we’ll pair you up with a fellow General.
The Vanguard Pass (7 available)
Answer the call to arms on Saturday and Sunday's daybreak until the evening’s festivities, then retreat to your own off-site quarters each night. This ticket grants you full access to the castle grounds and the immersive narrative campaign, including your seat at the table for lunch on both days, as well as access to the Saturday night Grand Banquet.
Keeping your strength up
While the castle walls will keep you safe from marauding goblins, we know that an army marches on its stomach. To ensure you are amply fed and watered, we're employing a specialist caterer. They'll be providing breakfast, lunch and dinner throughout the course of the weekend, including a very special Grand Banquet on Saturday night.
You'll be contacted well before WarCastle to confirm any allergies and dietary requirements.
After dinner
As each evening’s feast concludes, you’re invited to recount the day’s triumphs with your fellow commanders by a crackling hearth or gathered around the outdoor firepit. Should you seek a different challenge, break out the board games and discover who among you can best the rest in a new arena of noble combat.
The latrines
The castle features five elegant ensuite bedrooms, complemented by five additional family bathrooms conveniently located throughout the bedroom floors. To ensure total fairness, the bedrooms will be assigned by luck of the draw within your chosen accommodation category.
Accessibility
We strive to make WarCastle as accessible as possible; however, we are sometimes limited by the historic nature of our venues. While the ground floor of Middleton Castle is fully accessible to all attendees (and therefore the narrative campaign and all meals), please be aware that the bedrooms are located on the upper floors and are only reachable via stairs, as there are no lifts at the castle.
If you have specific requirements or questions, please contact us as we are happy to help you plan your trip.
