🧸 registration Booth – “meet Your Bear”
Booth description:
Children and their families are welcomed to the Bear Health Fair and receive their very own bear to care for during the adventure.
How it works:
Volunteers greet families, give each child a bear and Bear Health Passport, and invite them to choose a name for their bear, which is written on its ribbon. They also provide simple instructions and encourage families to visit each station to help their bear learn healthy habits.
Takeaway message:
“Your bear is ready to learn how to stay healthy!” 🧸
🥕 Nutrition Booth – “Feed Your Bear Well”
Booth description:
Children sort different foods to discover which ones help their bear grow strong and healthy.
How it works:
Kids look through a variety of foods and decide which ones are healthy choices to feed their bear, placing them into the bear’s basket or plate.
Takeaway message:
“Healthy food helps your bear grow strong—and it helps you too!”
🏃 Exercise Booth – “Make Your Bear Move!”
Booth description:
Children help their bear stay strong by guiding them through a fun Bear Obstacle Course while parents race alongside using their fingers like running legs.
How it works:
Volunteers use the provided materials to set up a simple obstacle course. Children guide their bear through the course while parents “run” alongside using their fingers. Volunteers also coach families through a few simple exercises they can do together.
Takeaway message:
“Moving our bodies every day helps keep us and our bears strong and healthy!”
💧 Water Booth – “Give Your Bear a Drink”
Booth description:
Children and families discover how important water is for staying healthy while helping their bear get the water it needs.
How it works:
Families work together in a fun “water telephone” challenge, passing water cup-to-cup down a line to fill eight cups at the end. Volunteers encourage teamwork and share how drinking water helps keep our bodies healthy and strong.
Takeaway message:
“Drinking water helps our bodies stay healthy and strong!” 💧
☀️ Sunshine Booth – “Let Your Bear Enjoy the Sun”
Booth description:
Children and their parents learn how sunshine helps keep their bodies healthy while playing a fun “Pin the Ray on the Sun” game together with their bear.
How it works:
Volunteers use the provided materials to proctor the game as kids and parents work together to place sunrays—each featuring a fun outdoor activity—onto a felt sun. Volunteers cheer them on and talk about ways to enjoy the sunshine while staying healthy.
Takeaway message:
“Sunshine helps our bodies stay healthy and happy!” ☀️
⚖️ Temperance Booth – “Balance for Your Bear”
Booth description:
Children and their parents learn about moderation and balance while helping their bear make healthy choices.
How it works:
Volunteers guide families through a balance game using the provided materials. Kids and parents place “healthy choices” onto a balance scale, learning how too much or too little—even of good things—can tip the balance. Volunteers reinforce moderation and making wise, God-centered choices.
Takeaway message:
“Finding balance helps our bodies—and our bears—stay healthy and strong!” ⚖️
🌬 Fresh Air Booth – “Let Your Bear Breathe”
Booth description:
Children and their parents learn how fresh air keeps their bodies healthy while having fun with their bear through simple breathing and movement activities.
How it works:
Volunteers guide families through playful activities like blowing pinwheels, bubbles, and simple air games. Families laugh, move, and engage together while volunteers share how fresh air and outdoor activity help keep our bodies and minds strong and energized.
Takeaway message:
“Fresh air helps our bodies and minds stay healthy and happy!” 🌬
😴 Rest Booth – “Help Your Bear Sleep”
Booth description:
Children and their parents learn how rest helps their bodies grow strong while tucking their bear in for a cozy nap.
How it works:
Volunteers guide families through a short activity where children help their bear “go to sleep”. Families join in doing simple bedtime stretches. Volunteers use provided information to talk about healthy bedtime routines that help kids—and their bears—rest well and feel refreshed.
Takeaway message:
“Rest helps our bodies grow strong and stay healthy!” 😴
❤️ Trust in God Booth – “Care for Your Bear with Prayer”
Booth description:
Children and their parents learn that just like they care for their bear, God lovingly cares for them too.
How it works:
Volunteers guide families through a short activity using provided materials where children draw or write something they’re thankful for or want to pray about for their bear or family. Families are invited to pray together, and volunteers remind children they can always trust God to care for them.
Takeaway message:
“We can always trust God because He loves and cares for us!” ❤️
🩺 Bear Health Check-Out – “Celebrate Your Healthy Bear!”
Booth description:
Children and their families celebrate completing their Bear Health Adventure and all the healthy habits their bear has learned.
How it works:
Volunteers review each child’s completed Bear Health Passport using the provided materials and congratulate them for helping their bear learn healthy habits. Families are then invited to the photo booth to take a fun picture with their bear to remember their Bear Health Fair experience.
Takeaway message:
“Great job taking care of your bear and learning how to stay healthy!” 🧸📸
