This is a co-ed 11v11 outdoor league that is meant for players with significant experience playing the sport. Typical advanced players played on a varsity college team, or college club team. If you only played in high school, haven't played in a number of years, or are looking to learn the sport, we highly encourage you to first check out the pick-up on Fridays.
All full season sign ups will be equally divided into teams based upon position and experience level. Games will have two umpires, 17 minute quarters, and will be highly competitive. Each team will have 14 players, and each week subs from the sublist will be assigned to teams with missing players. Goalies are neutral parties that switch at the half.
If your team has less than 7 field players from your regular, assigned team for playoffs or championships, your team will forfeit the game. The game will still be played with subs, but your team will not advance/win if more than half the team is subs.
We encourage players who are going to miss 3 or more games to sign up as drop ins rather than full season players.

Format
There will be four teams (e.g. Teams A, B, C, D). Each week there will be two games, consisting of 17-minute quarters. Note that this is a 7 week season. The season schedule is below:
What does the sublist mean?:
There are a limited number of spots available on teams, but we have a sublist available to those that either will miss 3 or more games, or didn't secure a full season spot before places sold out. Each week we take expected team attendance. If teams need subs because they are short players, we will email the sublist. The sublist will then have the opportunity to by a drop-in ticket for that particular date and play as a fill-in.
Umpires
Two umpires provided for every game.
Pinnies
Teams will play in red or white, no other colors are allowed. We recommend, but do not require, buying a reversible WFHA pinny. Purchase the WFHA pinny here.
USAFH or WFHA Membership
You need to be a member of USAFH or WFHA for insurance reasons. WFHA memberships are $10.99, and cover all WFHA events. You can sign up for WFHA membership here, or purchase one at check out. USAFH Memberships are also accepted by WFHA. USAFH memberships cost $30, and are required for USAFH events such as NITs and other national events, you can purchase one here.
Sportsmanship Clause
To create an enjoyable experience for all players, we have added a sportsmanship clause with repercussions for failure to comply. You will see and agree to the sportsmanship clause as you check out. This includes filling out your attendance sheet in a timely manner. If you are unable to comply with the sportsmanship clause, this will impact your ability to play with WFHA in the future.
For Goalies
Due to the unique nature of being a goalkeeper, goalies are not assigned to teams. Goalies will be assigned a time slot each week, and they will switch sides at the half.
Weather Policy
WFHA plays in all weather conditions except for lightning, hurricanes, and tornadoes. We play will play in the rain so long as there is no lightning. Unless you are explicitly told that play has been canceled, assume that play is still on. We will inform players of cancelations at least 1 hour prior to play. WFHA does not offer refunds or make-up sessions for days canceled due to weather (unfortunately we are not refunded by the fields themselves.)
Requesting a Teammate
WFHA does its best to balance teams based upon skill level, and encourages people playing with new teammates. To that end, we do not allow the requesting of teammates unless you: live in the same house, are family members, or are significant others.
