Description
Join Time Team's Phil Harding for a free virtual tour of the Waterloo battlefield as he excavates with Waterloo Uncovered, the charity combining world-class archaeology with veteran care and recovery! Let Phil take you on a whistle-stop tour of two important sites currently being excavated by Waterloo Uncovered: Mont-Saint-Jean, the main Allied field hospital where almost 6000 men were treated and many lost their lives, and Plancenoit, the site of a bloody battle between the French and Prussians which many believe to have secured the Allied victory. To round off the tour, Phil will be hosting a live Q & A and artefact handling session in our HQ at the base of the iconic Lion's Mound, where he'll take viewers' questions and show off finds fresh from the ground!
Virtual Tours will take place:
Wednesday 13th July 2022 - 7pm GMT+1
Thursday 14th July 2022 - 1pm GMT+1
This tour is free to watch, however, we would ask you to consider making a donation to the charity Waterloo Uncovered, to support our archaeological work and our important work in veteran care and recovery. You can do this while booking your ticket, or via our website. To find out more about Waterloo Uncovered, please visit www.waterloouncovered.com.
