Avonmore - Runoff Risk Assessment Field Training

Waters of LIFE are hosting field training for approved advisors on completing a runoff risk assessment of participant farms in the Waters of LIFE agri-environmental programme pilot.

The event is a follow up to the online training event which took place in June.

The day will begin at 10am in the local community centre for a recap on the essentials of the runoff risk assessment.

Advisors will also be able to ask questions, share feedback and address any knowledge gaps they may have.

After lunch (12:00 to 13:00), the group will move to a local participant farm for the field training element of the day.

The training event will conclude with a guide to submitting runoff risk assessments. Advisors will also have the option of engaging on a one-to-one basis with Waters of LIFE catchment scientists for any additional support they need.

10:00 – 12:00 – Runoff Risk Assessments – the essentials and questions
12:00 – 13:00 – Lunch
13:00 – 14:30 – On farm training
15:00 – 16:30 – Submission of RRA and one to one help.

Advisors are asked to bring appropriate clothing for a day of indoor and on-farm activity.
Tea and coffee will be provided. Advisors are asked to bring a packed lunch.
