Overview
There is a longing in the human heart to become whole and a hope planted in us of a life beyond fragmentation and brokenness. Can a practice of meditation be a path to follow and a way to become more whole? This question lies at the heart of our gathering this year.
This residential weekend invites you to explore the theme of Becoming Whole through shared practice, reflection, and community in a welcoming and supportive environment.
What to Expect
Together, we will explore the theme of Becoming Whole through a rich and nourishing programme that includes:
• Four talks from Liz Watson on the theme of Becoming Whole
• Daily Meditation sessions
• Chanting led by Mike Rathbone
• Mindful movement practices
• A variety of workshops
• Contemplative Eucharist
• Social time and space to connect with others
• Time for rest, reflection, and relaxed conversation

Who is this for?
Open to everyone - whether you are new to meditation or have an established practice. This is a gentle and accessible space to begin or deepen your journey in a supportive environment.
About the Leader

Our gathering will be led by Liz Watson, a long-standing meditator within WCCM. Liz leads meditation groups, teaches widely, and has guided retreats across the UK, Europe, Scandinavia, the USA, and Australia/New Zealand. Her depth of experience and gentle approach create a welcoming and grounded space for all.

We are also delighted that Mike Rathbone will be joining us to lead our chanting. Mike is a long-term member of WCCM and was part of the core residential community at Bonnevaux from 2021 to 2024. His contribution will enrich our shared experience of meditation and community.

Venue

Our weekend will be held at Highgate House Conference Centre, set in the peaceful Northamptonshire countryside - an ideal setting to slow down and reconnect.
During your stay, you can expect comfortable ensuite accommodation, nourishing freshly prepared meals, and refreshments available throughout the day. The venue offers quiet spaces for rest and reflection, as well as welcoming communal areas to gather, talk, and build connections with others.
There are also gardens and outdoor spaces to enjoy, providing a natural environment that supports the rhythm of meditation, prayer, and gentle activity across the weekend.
