Join us for our next pep-talk, where Alastair Somerville explores how centring our shared humanity in accessible design helps create content that genuinely respects and reflects the lives people live and aspire to.

AI and corporate rules of composition drag us away from writing and storytelling as humans for humans; from being human and humane. This talk is founded in accessible design but describes a few ways in which centring on our individual humanity is critical to content design that respects many people and the lives that they live and hope to live.

Alastair Somerville:

Alastair Somerville is a sensory design consultant and facilitator. He provides expert advice on cognition and person-centered design to companies and public organisations who provide both physical and digital products or services. He facilitates workshops on sensory and emotional design as well as accessible information architecture and wayfinding for corporations and cultural attractions and conferences across the world. He is currently working on citizen assembly and participation projects in the UK and EU
