Foleada is a Seattle-based Forró band with a focus on Pé de Serra style. Historically "going to the forró meant simply going to party or going out. Forró is the most popular genre of music and dance in Brazil's Northeast. It is the heartbeat of Northeast Brazil and it draws on many musical styles, from Afro-Brazilian music like samba and baião, from Cuban salsa and from Samba de Gafieira. We're bringing Forró instructor Tassia Merighi to show you the ropes with a 30 min dance intro at 7:30!
Put on your dancing shoes for this high-energy Brazilian party and help us close out our '22-23 season.
