Join us for an early reception with soft drinks and light refreshments starting from 6pm. The main event will begin at 7pm.
While much attention is on Israeli politics, 2026 may be an even more pivotal year for Palestinian politics, with local elections in April, possible parliamentary and Palestinian National Council elections in November, and presidential elections also being considered. Meanwhile, the newly established Board of Peace National Committee is expected to take over Gaza’s ministries.
At the centre of this moment is Samer Sinijlawi, a senior Fatah figure and activist often described as a “leader of the opposition” within Palestinian politics. One of the few Palestinian leaders who speaks directly to Israelis in Hebrew as well as to his own public, he challenges Hamas, speaks out against corruption in the Palestinian Authority, and calls for reform, reconciliation and democratic renewal. Central to his vision of a Palestinian state is the need for Israeli recognition and partnership.
Samer will be interviewed by Josh Glancy, associate editor of The Sunday Times.
We’re thrilled to welcome Makam Salam, a London-based collective of Middle Eastern diaspora musicians, who will be performing live at the reception from 6pm 🎶
Join us for an evening of conversation, community, and music. This is a rare chance to hear directly from someone helping shape the political conversation on the ground.
