Unearthing Weedon: A Guided Archaeology Site Tour

Join an exclusive, expert-led tour through the Weedon Island Preserve, where history comes alive beneath your feet! 

Guided by professional archaeologists from the Alliance for Weedon Island Archaeological Research and Education (AWIARE), this immersive experience will take you to an active excavation site within the Preserve. Along the way, you'll learn about the Indigenous peoples who lived in this area thousands of years ago and discover the ongoing archaeological efforts that continues to help us understand Florida's earliest inhabitants.

This guided walk covers approximately 2 miles along natural, uneven terrain. Please wear appropriate footwear and come prepared for outdoor conditions. Recommended for ages 10+.

Registration will reserve your spot for this limited-capacity tour. A $25 ticket fee/person will be collected on-site by AWIARE.
