The Muppet Christmas Carol + Puppet-Making Workshop

Join us for an afternoon of puppet making and Muppet merriment with Waltham Forest Cinema Project at Good Shepherd Studios!

We'll start the afternoon with a puppet making workshop with Olivier-award winning puppet maker Max Humphries – who has worked on projects with everyone from the National Theatre to the Cirque Du Soleil – giving you a chance to create a cheeky Christmas elf you can take home and enjoy (or gift to a loved one!). 

Then we'll get cosy for a screening of The Muppet Christmas Carol in Good Shepherd's cinema space. 

There is never a bad time for Muppets, but Christmas is an especially good time. Whether you've never seen this The Muppet Christmas Carol before, or this is an annual tradition, we'd love to see you there. Arguably the greatest Christmas film ever, as well as one of the best Dickens adaptations of all time, come together and celebrate this story of joy and human charity that anyone to relate to, whatever your background. 

We'll have mulled wine, as well as snacks and drinks for kids available to buy. There's also a chance to buy Christmas cards and prints of our specially commissioned artwork by Eli Delbaere, featuring Gonzo and Rizzo.  You can also pre-order prints and cards in advance!

Please note, all children need to be accompanied by an adult/parent/carer for the puppet making workshop (this is not a drop off event). 

The workshop is for children aged 8+. There will be drinks and snacks available from the onsite café Back to Ours.

Adults are welcome at the screening, as well as adults and children. Muppets are for all!

There will be some free tickets available for the puppet-making workshop for those who couldn't attend otherwise. Your purchase of tickets for the screening and workshop helps support these places.
