Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol follows Ebenezer Scrooge, a cold-hearted, greedy miser who deeply loathes Christmas. On Christmas Eve, he is visited by the ghost of his former business partner and three spirits—the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Yet to Come—who force him to confront his selfish choices, the warmth of the families he mistreats, and his own lonely, impending death. Terrified and deeply moved by these visions, Scrooge awakens on Christmas morning a completely transformed man, immediately using his wealth and joy to help others, care for the vulnerable Tiny Tim, and embrace the true spirit of the holidays.
