Let Me Get This Off My Chest - Clare Edition!
A gender affirming care fundraiser for our wonderful Fuzzrat
Saturday Oct 17th, 5 – 8pm
Folks! We are hosting a very civilised 5 – 8pm event at the magical Hometree Charity HQ. It will feature music from some of the best (and soundest!) in the country, a raffle with lots of prizes to be won and merch from the Let Me Get This Off My Chest fundraising campaign!
Lydia can't receive the vital care they so deserve in their own country, so we are raising these funds together as a community, to make sure they can get the care they deserve.
Lineup:

Ultan O'Brien
Ultan O’Brien is a fiddle/viola player and composer from County Clare. Ultan was reared in the rich tradition of Irish music , but he also delves deep into sound art and experimental music. His debut record, Dancing the Line, was released in March 2025 through Nyahh Records. Jim Keaveney had this to say: ‘… a stunning and frequently surprising album that presents a vision of music rooted in the traditional genre, yet unafraid to reach beyond its boundaries for inspiration.’ Ultan is a well-known collaborator, often performing and recording with trumpeter Laura Jurd, Ruth Goller, John Francis Flynn, Eoghan Ó Ceannabháin, Martin Green (Lau), and Nic Gareiss.

Crispy Quill
Crispy Quill is a multi-instrumentalist from Dublin who loves clawhammer banjos, tearing into acoustic, electric and slide guitars using deep picking patterns and wide open tunings. She loves to explore big sounds and reverbs and pinches from Appalachian, folk, blues and American primitive guitar playing. After spending most her life backing up some of Dublin and Wicklows most loved, underground hidden gems she has recently began on a path of her own new writing music which has been an exciting time with a release coming for next year.

Aoife Hammond
Aoife Hammond is a singer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist based between Leitrim and Clare. They work as a live musician and sound artist, creating original electronic and acoustic scores using guitars, synthesisers and voice. Rooted in folk and traditional music Aoife’s repertoire centres on songs of resistance, oral history, and the relationship between land and culture.

Ciaróg
Splitting her time between the rugged land/oceanscape of West Clare and the mountains and rivers of Vestland, Norway, Ciaróg (Ciara McGarrigle) is drawn to and fascinated by the movement of water. Her brand of ocean music draws influences from impressionist piano music, Irish traditional music, contemporary and modal jazz, as well as ambient and soundscape music.
From the humbling feeling of witnessing a powerful storm to the flow moment of kayaking down a waterfall, she is on a never-ending journey of attempting to capture this magic and mystery in music, in the hope that it might reach a few ciaróga eile.
