Men Explain.... LIVE IN STUDIO! / February 13

Two impulsive, unpredictable, extravagantly gendered late-night talkshow hosts — Dasha Plett and Gislina Patterson — invite real life men into a cardboard and construction paper television studio to talk about their passions, fears, and what it’s like to be a man. Performed live for a small in-studio audience, live-screened by community partners across the country, or streamed directly to your laptop, Men Explain Things to Us… And We Like It! plays in the space between reality and performance to transgress and re-write the unwritten rules and social etiquette of gender relations. –This venue is NOT physically accessible and will require you to make your way up 3 flights of stairs. (For physically accessible shows, see the live screenings happening at the Winnipeg Film Group!)

-Doors will be locked at 9:15. We need you to arrive early so that we can orient you to your role as our studio audience!

–Tickets will not be available at the door and must be purchased ahead of time.

–The event is in the Exchange District but location will be sent to you once you order a ticket.

–While this is not a “crowd participation” kind of a show, there is the possibility the studio audience will occasionally be on camera, a la classic talkshow audience shots, and upon arriving at the venue you will be asked to sign a standardized release form (audience members under 18 need to have a guardian's signature).

–This is a masked event. If you do not bring a mask, a KN95 will be provided for you.
