An Evening with Julian & Jiaxin Lloyd Webber

"Bach, Bows and Arrows!"

We are delighted to welcome back to the Wesley Centre, Malton, world-renowned cellists Julian and Jiaxin Lloyd Webber.  They will take us on a unique "double-sided" journey of live music and behind the scenes stories about their lives in the most influential musical dynasty of modern times. 

Following a first half focus on Bach's sublime Cello Suites, Julian will lead us on a magical musical tour of his amazing career with rare videos and a reading from his acclaimed new autobiography, Bows and Arrows.  During the evening there will be opportunity to purchase copies of the book which Julian will be happy to sign.

In 2014 Julian retired from playing the cello due to injury, but in December 2025 it was announced that he would play once again at his 75th birthday gala at London's Wigmore Hall which took place in April of this year.  His appearance in Malton on Friday 9th October will include a rare treat for a northern audience to hear Julian play in the superb acoustic of the Wesley Centre, following its recent restoration and transformation.
