Join us for an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour with Collections Manager Hugh Morrison and Archivist Simon Coleman to explore the life and work of Edward James and how his creative partnerships with prominent Surrealists such as Salvador Dalí, René Magritte and Leonora Carrington led to his involvement with some of the most iconic works, including the Mae West Lips Sofa and Lobster Telephone.

Please note
Tours are limited to 25 spaces. Tickets must be purchased in advance. Due to the historical nature of the West Dean House, some areas may be inaccessible to those with mobility issues.
Entry is through the main gardens entrance where a member of staff will check your ticket.
Please note the tour might be cancelled if numbers aren't at our minimum number.
Cancellations:
Cancellations are permitted up to 5 days before the start of a tour. You have the right to cancel within the statutory 14 day cooling off period If you have any questions or queries please contact us at meetings@westdean.ac.uk.
We reserve the right to cancel a tour in unusual circumstances. We try to avoid this where possible, but sometimes it is unavoidable. In this situation, a full refund will be given.
