The WCCSHG is a 500 attendee, in-depth conference dedicated to soil health and grazing that you won't want to miss!

As an attendee you will have the opportunity to learn from University and applied researchers, Government and NGO, industry, and producer panelists. The WCCSHG will have an on-going trade show throughout the Conference with a variety of regenerative ag resources including vendors specializing in fencing, water resources, soil health, cattle performance, and financial management. The WCCSHG is an amazing networking opportunity to swap experiences, advice, and to learn from other producers attending who all share a common interest!

Some of the 2026 WCCSHG keynote speakers include Dr. Jill Clapperton (Rhizoterra Inc), Dr. JC Cahill (U of A), Dr. Anibal Pordomingo, Dr. Preston Sorenson (U of S), Kathy Larson (U of S), 6+ western Canadian producers, and more!

The 2026 WCCSHG Banquet Keynote Speaker: General Rick Hillier, a highly respected former Chief of the Defence Staff known for his leadership, resilience, and engaging perspective on teamwork and decision-making under pressure.

The WCCSHG is a collaborative event hosted by ten of the Applied Research and Forage Associations within Alberta. The Chinook Applied Research Association (CARA), located in Oyen, AB, oversees conference registration and administration. Meals

The meals included with registration:

• Tuesday: lunch and evening appetizers, cash bar reception at the tradeshow
• Wednesday: breakfast, lunch (Banquet supper and keynote speaker - not included in registration, banquet tickets must be purchased to attend)
• Thursday: breakfast, lunch
• 4 coffee breaks with snacks during the Conference

Purchasing Tickets

• Please note that banquet tickets for are sold separately from Conference registration.
• When purchasing a Farm Unit Ticket please include both names of those attending. (A Farm Unit ticket is suitable for a couple or multiple members from the same operation)
• Early bird pricing is available until October 31, 2026. Tickets sold after October 31, 2026 will cost an additional $50.
• Tickets can be cancelled and refunded through Ticket Tailor while tickets are still on sale. After ticket sales have ended online, please contact CARA to discuss refunds or transferring your ticket.
• After ticket sales end a waiting list will be started. Please contact CARA to be added to the wait list.

Western Canada Conference on Soil Health & Grazing 2026 Registration Refund Policy

In the event the conference is sold out, a ticket holder requesting a refund will have 2 options:

1. Transfer of Registration. The Registration Committee shall provide the person at the top of the waiting list with the original ticket holder’s contact information. It will be the responsibility of the original ticket holder to collect funds from the new ticket holder and also to confirm the new name for the ticket to the Conference Registration Committee.

2. Return of Funds. If the original ticket holder does not wish to transfer the ticket, a refund will be issued relative to timing of the request:

• 80% refund if canceled on or before November 10, 2026
• 50% refund if canceled on or between November 11 and 25, 2026
• 0% refund if canceled November 26, 2026 or later

If the Conference is not sold out, the ticket holder requesting the refund will be reimbursed according to the Return of Funds criteria listed above.
