Come celebrate everything that’s weird and wonderful about Akron’s historic West Hill neighborhood at the 3^rd annual arts and culture festival, Wonderfest. Live Music, food trucks and beer garden, kid’s activities, a handmade marketplace, pumpkin painting, and a silent auction and raffles. Check out details about all of our activities!

Silent Auction & Raffle

The silent auction and raffle is a major fundraiser for WHNO and helps us keep our programming free and welcoming for all of our neighbors. This year we have items donated by Hazel Tree Interiors, Earthquaker Devices, the Akron Symphony Orchestra, The Nightlight, Arkham Tattoo, Lifestream Massage Therapy, Chin's Place Restaurant, Akron Glass Works, Sackmaan Stamp, Novak Heating and Cooling, and more! Winners of the silent auction and raffle will be announced at 4pm.

Wonderfest Handmade Market

Start your holiday shopping early, or treat yourself (or your pets) to handcrafted works of art made by Akron artists at the Wonderfest handmade market. Akron Glass Works, Rubber City Prints, Amelia in Wonderland, Akron Astro, Local Honey Glass, Local Momentos, Last Pages of Humanity, Edie's Mean Treats, and many more! 1pm The Blessing of the Animals by Mother Debra Bennett, Church of Our Saviour

All things bright and beautiful, all creatures great and small, all things wise and wonderful, our God made them all. Not only does God love our pets, we do as well. And so, in keeping with the tradition of St. Francis our Annual Blessing of the Animals will be held on Saturday, October 5, as part of Wonderfest at 1 p.m. in front of the church’s parish house on Crosby St. All pets are invited –- live and stuffed companions, but no snakes please. Snacks will be provided for pets and their humans.

Pumpkin Sale & Pumpkin Painting Activity

We're getting ready for West Hill Halloween with a pumpkin sale and pumpkin painting booth! All pumpkin sales benefit the West Hill Neighborhood Organization. Take your pumpkin home as-is or paint it at the pumpkin-painting booth. Either way, check out what we have planned for a special all-ages and day-to-night West Hill Halloween celebration this year!

Halloween Costume & Food Donation Drive

Earn a free raffle ticket by donating children's Halloween costumes to the Church of Our Saviour Friendly Closet or non-perishable food to the Friendly Pantry. We're looking for new or gently used Halloween costumes to fit children from infant to teen sizes. 

PARKING:

There is ample street parking throughout the neighborhood, but please respect our neighbors and don't block any driveways. Oakdale Avenue from Crosby Street to Woodland Avenue and Crosby Street from Oakdale Avenue and Balch Street will be closed to traffic from 8am - 9pm.
