Description
Following the success of Skills Bootcamps delivery in our region, the West of England Combined Authority are making a further £7 million available to employers and training providers to deliver specialist training within a range of sectors.
Wave 5 sees the introduction of new categories including:
- Green Transport – Mechanical Engineering
- Pathway to Apprenticeships - Early Years
- Pathway to Apprenticeships - Health and Care
- Creative - TV & film
- Creative – Production
- Creative – Digital
- Creative – Business Leadership and Management
- Health & Care
The first Skills Bootcamps funding call will open for new categories on 5th February, with a further call introducing all other sectors opening in mid-March.
Other Sectors launching in March are:
- Logistics
- Construction
- Green Skills
- Digital
- Leadership and Management
- Technical - Engineering
Skills Bootcamps are developed in partnership with employers and providers to help fill local skills gaps and vacancies, offering an affordable route to develop employees with high quality training for in-demand skills. They also offer a way of developing a loyal and talented workforce, building the skills needed to futureproof businesses across the region.
The Combined Authority welcomes local training providers and businesses to find out how they can get involved in delivering the latest Skills Bootcamps to people in the West of England by attending this launch event
