Hive Events

West Suffolk Hive CIC is a Community Interest Company, founded in September 2019 by Steph Holland. The site is managed by directors Steph, Claire and Helen. The Hive runs educational sessions and community events at our site in Bradfield St George, and from the town centre in Bury St Edmunds. We work collaboratively with several organisations to broaden our reach and benefit a wide range of the community. We have created a family-centred community space in a natural environment to foster a connection with nature, improve wellbeing and share skills and knowledge.

Our site has two log cabin classrooms with solar power, two composting toilets, two polytunnels for growing fruit and vegetables, a wildlife pond, woodland, orchard and wildflower meadow. We welcome families of all ages from all over East Anglia and provide sessions to a variety of ages and abilities throughout the week, specialising in SEND-friendly activities and Forest School.
