The infection prevention champions training is a face to face event that covers the principles of infection prevention and management.
Delegates will be an influencer within their organisation to take back and implement change where necessary and support staff in consistently meeting standards. The course will enable an understanding of common healthcare organisms, their route of transmission and how to prevent spread within the care home setting.
The training will consist of presentations and interactive exercises to ensure delegates can identify the needs of their care home, train and support colleagues and be a confident leader in preventing infection.
To ensure equity of access, we ask that one or two key members of staff (ideally a manager, deputy, or designated IPC lead) attend the training. As with all our training sessions, we expect that the knowledge gained is cascaded internally to the wider team through supervision, team meetings or internal training sessions.
There is onsite parking available, located at the back of the building.
