About the Activity
Gather with Yana Fay Dzedze across four sessions of creative writing at Whitby Library.
Using prompt cards designed for life-writing, each session opens up your own life stories & builds your skills as a writer. Sessions move gently from first memory exercises toward short, polished personal pieces; exploring the small, vivid moments that shape who we are. Drop in for one session or follow the full programme.
Book all 4 sessions, or just 1. Participants are warmly encouraged to attend all four sessions, but each of them stand alone. A selection of pieces will be shared at the Little Memoirs Showcase on 18 August & at Whitby Literature Festival in November 2026. Participation in the showcase is entirely voluntary.
Part of Whitby Gathers, a free summer arts programme across Whitby & surrounding villages, supported by Arts Council England.
What to Bring
A notebook & pen if you have one; materials are provided.
