About the Activity
Gather with Guinness World Record holder Sophia Seidl and flow artist Rosalie Amber at Pannet Park, Whitby, for a drop-in hula hooping workshop with two of the UK's most accomplished circus performers.
Together, Sophia and Rosalie introduce participants of all ages to the art of the hoop; from basic spins and rhythmic movement to more expressive, flowing technique. The session draws on Sophia's background in competitive and performance hooping and Rosalie's expertise in hoop dance and movement-based practice, offering something genuinely skilled at its centre while remaining entirely accessible to complete beginners. Whether you've never picked up a hoop or want to push your movement further, the workshop meets you where you are. Sessions are playful, high-energy and open to all.
All hoops are provided. No experience is needed — just come ready to move.
Part of Whitby Gathers, a free summer arts programme across Whitby and surrounding villages, supported by Arts Council England.
What to Bring
Comfortable clothes you can move freely in. All hoops are provided.
