Music in the Meadow Jubilee Event
Register your family/group for FREE TICKETS to the ‘Music in the Meadow’ live music event on Sunday 5th June 2022 to celebrate The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
The free open-air concert from 11am to 4pm will feature a ‘Proms in the Park’ style performance on stage from the Nova Foresta Classical Players orchestra who will play a selection of popular music culminating in a rousing climax with the playing of traditional favourites including Jerusalem, Land of Hope and Glory and Rule Britannia.
Whitchurch Folk Club and the Whitchurch Singing for Fun Choir will also be performing, along with children’s activities throughout the day from Anvil Arts The Musication Station and Proteus Theatre / Scratchbuilt Shed of Stories.
Tickets for the event are free, but attendees are encouraged to register for the event in advance to help with planning. A free Jubilee hand-flag per family/group is offered.
Organised by Whitchurch Conservation Group, with kind assistance from the Whitchurch Millennium Green Trust, music lovers are invited to bring their picnics, deck chairs and picnic blankets. There will be food and drink stalls available.
Tickets are free, but adults who are in a position to afford to do so are encouraged to make a donation of £2.50 each. This will go directly to Whitchurch Millennium Green Trust in recognition of the charity’s hard work in nurturing and caring for this important green space in Whitchurch.
