Yoga with Greyhounds

Join us at the Whitstable Umbrella Centre for a very special morning of yoga, rescue greyhounds and coffee, raising money for Kent Greyhound Rescue (www.kentgreyhoundrescue.com/) and the Whitstable Umbrella Community Support Centre.

We’ll start with a relaxed one-hour yoga class led by Rob Garrad (@robgarradyogifit), with rescue greyhounds from Kent Greyhound Rescue joining us in the hall. Expect the dogs to wander, snooze, investigate your yoga mat and generally make themselves part of the session.

After yoga, stay for coffee and refreshments, meet the greyhounds properly and find out more about the brilliant work of Kent Greyhound Rescue.

Please bring your own yoga mat.

You are welcome to bring your own greyhound if they are comfortable around other greyhounds and in a group environment. Please do not bring other breeds, as some of the rescue dogs attending may be reactive.

No serious yoga credentials required. Just come ready for a fun morning with some very lovely dogs.

All profits from the event will support Kent Greyhound Rescue and the Whitstable Umbrella Community Support Centre.

Important information

• This event is for adults only. No children.
• Please bring your own yoga mat.
• Rescue greyhounds will be present throughout the session and may move freely around the room.
• Please follow the instructions of Kent Greyhound Rescue staff, volunteers and dog handlers at all times.
• Please respect the dogs’ space and do not approach, touch or feed a dog unless their handler is happy for you to do so.
• You are welcome to bring your own greyhound, but you remain responsible for their supervision, behaviour and welfare throughout the event. They must be comfortable around other greyhounds and remain under your control at all times.
• Please do not bring other breeds.
• Participation in the yoga session is at your own risk. Please work within your own ability and tell the instructor about any injuries or health concerns before the class starts.
• The welfare of all greyhounds comes first. The organisers may ask a participant or dog to step away from the session if necessary.
